Operation Holiday Cheer
Giving Pack invites you to join us in spreading some joy this winter with our Annual Operation Holiday Cheer project! This year, we will be sending handmade holiday cards to the patients at Beaumont Hospital and the residents at Sunrise Senior Living in Grosse Pointe Woods. We need your help in making these holiday cards! Last year, we worked with elementary schools, middle schools, churches, and sororities throughout the state to collect over 650 cards to send to hospital patients — this year we hope to double the number of cards we collect.
If you are interested in getting involved and helping us make cards, please contact us at givingpackproject@gmail.com to coordinate a pick-up date for the cards you make. When making cards, please make sure they focus on the season and do not mention specific holidays. Including sayings such as “Season’s Greetings” and “Winter Wishes” are great, but please refrain from using phrases like “Get Well Soon.”

2017
Second Annual School Supply Pack Project
At the start of the 2017-2018 school year, Giving Pack provided each of the 850 students of Bagley Elementary and Young Elementary Schools in Detroit, MI, with one of our school supply packs. The students were overjoyed to to receive supplies and the teachers assured us the resources would help us it would help jumpstart their school year.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to all who attended the Tasting Fundraiser in May of 2017. All 850 packs were purchased and filled with the money raised at the event — we truly could not have done it without your support!

Operation Holiday Cheer
In the fall of 2016, Giving Pack launched its second project with the hopes of spreading a little holiday cheer. We partnered up with various schools and organizations throughout Michigan to make holiday cards for patients at Beaumont Hospital in Grosse Pointe, MI.
Our first annual Operation Holiday Cheer was a huge success! Over 650 holiday cards were made, delivered, and distributed to the patients at Beaumont Hospital — enough to provide every patient that checked into the hospital with a handmade card for over a week. We would like to thank all of the organizations and schools that took the time to help us make cards and spread some joy during the holiday season.
First Annual School Supply Pack Project
In March of 2016, Giving Pack launched its first pack project and set out to provide school supply packs to the 350 students at Carleton Elementary School in Detroit, MI. To provide supply packs containing school essentials including pens, pencils, folders, notebooks, a reading book, and more, we organized school supply drives at churches and schools throughout Metro Detroit and started a GoFundMe campaign; due to the generosity of our friends, family, and supporters, our $3,000 goal was met in just a few short weeks.
Thanks to the kindness and support of various communities and individuals throughout Michigan, we were able to provide each and every one of the 350 students at Carleton Elementary School with a school supply pack and help them kickstart their 2016-2017 school year. Due to the success of the project and positive impact it had on these students, Giving Pack turned this into an annual project.
